Ideas for famous landmarks to stop by
1: Fort Montagu the historically rich and elegant Fort. Take photos of the original Cannon guns used to fight of pirates with the Atlantic Ocean as your back drop. From across the Harbor, see multi million dollar homes of the rich and famous. The fort was built as a defense against Spanish invaders. Fort Montagu served an essential purpose during the American Revolutionary War during which Americans took over the site in the Battle of Nassau. Today, things are a lot more peaceful at the fort and the most action is seen when tours get underway.
2: The Queen’S Staircase also known as The 66 steps by locals was carved out of solid limestone rock by slaves between 1793 and 1794. Take photos on this mystical and scenic landmark with green trees and a waterfall as your picture perfect background.
3: Fort Fincastle Built in 1793 and strategically placed to protect Historic Nassau and its harbor, this fort offers up some of the most spectacular views in Nassau. Take pictures among the cannon guns all while learning all of the rich history
4: (Pass By) Government House is the official residence of the Queen’s representative (The Governor General). This is where King Edward Vlll who abducted the throne of England on the 11th December, 1936 to marry an American divorcee resided when he was appointed as Governor General of The Bahamas in 1940.

6:Fort Charlotte This fort is actually (3) forts in 1. Built over-looking the harbor of Nassau, this fort was constructed in 1789 by British Colonial Governor Lord Dunmore after the end of The American Revolutionary war. It was built to be used as a battle station, to attack the invading Spaniards.
7:The Caves of New Providence Take photos of this breath taking cave system once used by The Lucayan Indians around the 10th Century to around the time Christopher Columbus arrived.

- Gloves: Good quality off-road / motorcycle gloves give you better traction when controlling the steering wheel. They also provide extra protection against cuts and scratches.
- Boots: Similar to gloves, boots provide extra protection against cuts and scratches.

You want to feel in control of your ATV at all times. There may be tight turns or unexpected turns along the trails. Trying to make these turns at high speeds can be dangerous if you’re unfamiliar with the trail and controlling a buggy.
Stay conscious of your surroundings, let off the gas when making turns, and treat the ATV like it was your own. Take your time, you can gradually increase speeds as you become more comfortable.
Stay Hydrated and Safe From the Sun
There’s no denying the beautiful weather you’ll find upon visiting, the sun is out and you can feel the warmth of the rays on your skin. As beautiful as this weather is, if you’re not used to the heat and how to stay healthy under conditions of high temperatures, then you could be putting yourself in danger.
Before hopping on your ATV, do be sure to drink plenty of water. Take a jug of water with you as well to stay hydrated. It’s also beneficial to protect your skin from the harsh sun as well.
Apply sunscreen 30 minutes before riding and every 30 minutes after that. You can also wear protective clothing that prevents sunburn.
