Free Alpha Agreement
By using the Rentosh platform during the Lower Mainland BC Alpha Launch, you agree to these simplified rules designed to get the community sharing right away.
1. We Are a Marketplace Platform
Rentosh provides a platform for neighbors to post items they have and find things they need to rent. At this stage, Rentosh does NOT process payments, hold deposits, or provide platform insurance. We only connect you with other people.
2. User Responsibility
You agree that any rental arrangement, payment, and condition check is negotiated directly between the Host and the Renter. You are responsible for who you rent to, the condition of the item, and returning it on time.
- Hosts should take photos before and after the rental for their own records.
- Payments should be arranged via Cash or Interac e-Transfer directly at the meetup.
3. Prohibited Items
You may not rent out illegal items, weapons, dangerous chemicals, or heavily regulated equipment. We reserve the right to remove any listing that poses a safety or legal risk.
4. Limitation of Liability
Because Rentosh is a free tool to connect users, we make no guarantees about the individuals you interact with or the quality of the items. We are not liable for any damaged, lost, or stolen items, or any personal injury that occurs during a rental.
5. Reporting and Disputes
If you encounter a dangerous listing or a problematic user, please use the in-app "Report" tool on the listing or user profile. While we do not act as mediators in financial disputes, we will ban users who flagrantly violate the community trust rules.
